I've always been curious about people: what drives us, why we make the choices we make, and what shapes who we become.
That curiosity led me to study psychology, long before I really knew where that path would take me.
After earning my master's degree in psychology, my own path turned out to be anything but linear. It took me through HR, motherhood, a move from Belarus to the U.S., creative work, and four years of building and running a business in partnership.
In 2020, when that business chapter came to an end and much of the world was slowing down, I found myself asking what mattered to me and what I wanted to build next. By then, I had already spent several years deeply engaged in my own personal development. Coaching became the place where the pieces finally came together: psychology, years of working with people, business experience, and my ongoing curiosity about how we grow and change.
After more than a decade in the U.S., I think of myself as a multicultural person. My Slavic roots are still very much part of me, while living and working in the U.S. has added new ways of thinking, communicating, and seeing the world. I coach in both English and Russian, and I genuinely love how working across languages and cultures keeps exposing me to different perspectives and ways of seeing life.
Curiosity shapes my life outside of work too. I love traveling and exploring new places. No matter how much I plan a "lazy" vacation, I somehow end up wanting to see what's around the next corner.
Like anyone else, I have my own fears and things that can hold me back. One practice I've found meaningful is intentionally stepping into discomfort from time to time. Each time I do, it gives me a little more evidence that I can handle more than I thought. When I moved to Arizona, I discovered hiking, and it became one of the ways I experienced this firsthand. It eventually led me to a one-day Rim-to-Rim hike across the Grand Canyon. The experience was transformational, not only because of the challenge itself, but because it shifted the way I saw myself and what I believed I was capable of.
